Politics & Election 2008

PoliticsJacobs Media's Tech Survey IV confirms incredibly strong interest in the upcoming Presidential Election among fans of Rock, Classic Rock, and Alternative radio stations. It also shows some preference in terms of party and candidates - but varies significantly by format, age, and gender.

Read our Politics/Election 2008 Tech Survey findings to discover if the presidential election could be the highest voter turnout of all time.

Satellite Radio

Satellite TransmissionAs we continue to dig into the results of Tech Poll IV, one of the most interesting findings shows that satellite radio subscribership may not greatly increase as a result of the pending merger between XM and Sirius. Moreover, the commitment among current subscribers to stay with either service is weak, especially if it came pre-installed in their vehicles.

Read our Satellite Radio Tech Survey findings for more details on what the real issues are.

iPhone Ownership

iPhoneOur Tech Survey IV shows that while Apple’s iPhone was a strong out-of-the-gate success, interest in these cool devices has cooled, possibly prompting Apple to change its initial strategy.

Check out our iPhone Ownership to get a glimpse into what may be motivating the recent change in Apple's strategy for marketing their iPhones.

Rock-Based Video Games

GH/RBOur Tech Survey IV shows music-based video games are having a significant impact on music sales. Not only are video games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band very popular, but they are also positively influencing music buying habits..

Check out our Rock-Based Video Game Analysis to for details on who's playing (and downloading) what.
