Internet Explorer Instructions for Enabling Cookies

  1. Select "Internet Options" from the View Menu (on IE 5 this is on the Tools Menu).
  2. Click the Security Tab
  3. Select "Low" Security, or if you prefer click on "Custom" Security and choose to enable cookies.  On IE 5.0 you must click the "Custom Level" button.

Netscape Instructions for Enabling Cookies

  1. Choose Preferences from the Edit Menu.
  2. Choose the Advanced Option.
  3. Enable the Radio Button that says "Accept All Cookies".

AOL 4.0/5.0 Instructions for Enabling Cookies

  1. Choose "MY AOL" from the menu/icon list across the top menu
  2. Select the "Preferences" from the drop-down menu
  3. On the Preferences screen click on "WWW"
  4. This will open an "Internet Options" box -- choose the "Security" tab
  5. Reduce security to "Medium" (or lower...)
  6. Click "Apply" and then "Close"

*** With AOL 4.0 you can add the Jacobs Media Site to your "trusted sites" list.  This will allow you to keep whatver security you choose intact for the Internet in general, while allowing you to specify a specific level of security (Medium or lower) for Jacobs Media's site.  Simply click "Trusted Sites" (the green circle) in the menu and add the url: http://www.jacobsmedia.com to the sites list, lower your security and click "apply" and "close."   If you have any questions, simply select "HELP" from the AOL menu for more information.
